This month we will host music therapist Marianne Wren for a night of revisited classical music to the sound of the violin.

A special event designed for Music Therapy week to showcase the diverse talents of adults with disabilities. This inclusive platform aims to break down barriers, promote diversity and amplify the voices of those who often go unheard.

In this special edition we invite our group of regional music therapists to gather for a night of music making. We will offer time for discussion after the music playing. Anyone interested in music therapy can have the opportunity to meet professionals and ask about the field.

This month we will host Darryn from the Wellington Batucada for a night of fun music playing. It's also music therapy week so a great occasion to celebrate with us!! IMPORTANT NOTE: All participants must wear a face mask and respect a 2m social distancing during the event.

This month we will host Liz Langham for “Found Sound: Music All Around”. Come and explore the music that can be heard and made around your home and in the natural world. Liz will bring her flutes and a variety of objects for us to explore improvising music together.

This month, talented local artist Te Kahureremoa is joining Musicking Together. We will play taonga pūoro and will have the pleasure to hear and sing some of Te Kahureremoa's songs.

This month, we have the honor to host the legendary Congolese Afrobeat Maestro Sam Manzanza. Sam will share some of his songs and we'll have a drumming circle.

This month, music therapist Anna Sedcole will share some cool songs with us and we will use body percussion to accompany our singing.

This month, Simon will join us to play rhythms of West Africa on the Djembe and Mbira.

This month, local musician Xavier Quilambaqui will join us to play South American tunes.

This month, registered music therapist Yutong will join "Musicking Together" to play Chinese music, songs and dance moves.

This month, our local artist Mumu will join "Musicking Together" to demo some rap improvisation.
